The eighth edition of Kabaddi World Cup will be held in India in October. International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) will organise the event. The event will be held in the state-of-the-art multi-purpose stadium- The Arena, developed by TransStadia. 12 countries including hosts India will take part in the Kabaddi World Cup. United States of America, Canada, England, Australia, Iran, Poland, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea, Japan and Kenya are the other nations. Poland will participate in the Kabaddi World Cup for the first time while Kenya will appear for the second time.
This is a proud moment for kabaddi as the excitement created by the domestic pro kabaddi league (PKL) is sure to be a booster for the Kabaddi World Cup as well since they both will follow the same format of the sport.
Looking at the line up of countries from all over the world participating in the kabaddi world cup 2016, one can only say that Kabaddi is well on its path to become one of the most popular sports on earth, a place, that it truly deserves.
I want to end this post with our motto .... Play Kabaddi
